As I shared on my FB account, visiting Nairobi-Kenya last April was a turning point in my life.

I went there to visit a project funded by RIJ for which I volunteer for the last 8 years. I met many entrepreneurs who were refugees from neighboring countries. But I also met idealist Kenyans who were making it all happen.
Imagine you have to escape to a foreign country with nothing but your passport. You need to find food, shelter. And eventually, you need to earn money. Can you do it all by yourself?
Ambrose I met In Nairobi left a deep impression on me. He is a social development specialist working for Caritas Nairobi, RIJ’s project partner on the ground. In the video, I am sharing some scenes from my visit, and I am explaining what was truly inspiring about Ambrose and his work. The place he is from is more than 11,260 kilometers far away from Tokyo. But, I think the world he is trying to create is not too different from our dreams.
